Consumer FAQs:

Q.  Are FCI Warranty plans available in all 50 states?

A. Yes, we provide service in all 50 states, Canada and selected areas in Europe should your product need repairs.

Q.  Is the FCI website secure?

A. Yes, FCI uses the highest industry standard form of encryption for all of our credit card transactions. FCI also has a privacy policy that prohibits us from selling or renting our customer lists.

Q.  Who Protects FCI Warranty plans?

A. All of the plans provided by FCI are underwritten by Falcon Computers, Inc, which holds set asides in escrow accounts to cover upcoming labor and parts costs for the duration of each warranty sold.

Q.  What is an extended service plan, and why do I need one?

A. Every new product comes from the manufacturer with a basic warranty that states the manufacturer will repair or replace most parts of the product in the event of a malfunction for a limited amount of time. Once the manufacturer's warranty expires, there is nothing to protect you from expensive repairs. FCI’s coverage is protection against the increasing cost of repairs after the manufacturer's warranty has expired. With a FCI Warranty policy if the product can't be repaired, we will replace it.

Q.  Does it matter where I bought my product?

A. FCI can provide an extended warranty for almost any electronic product regardless of where you purchased it as long as you bought it from an authorized dealer and there is at least 30 days remaining on the original "labor" portion of the manufacturers warranty.

Q.  I still have time left on my factory warranty. Why purchase a service plan now?

A. In order to keep our warranty costs down (to pass the savings on to you) we have to make sure the product is still in good working order. We do that by requiring that a FCI warranty to be purchased while there is still at least 30 days remaining on the "labor" portion of the original manufacturer's warranty.

Q.  Do your warranties offer power surge protection?

A. In a word, no. A power surge is considered a weather condition which falls outside of normal operation. However, a power surge should be covered through your home owners or renters insurance. We do recommend that you buy a surge protector for all of your computer and electronic equipment as precaution regardless of the warranty plan you select.

Q.  When does the warranty begin?

A. A FCI Warranty begins as soon as you purchase it. It will complement your manufacturers 90 day or one year warranty and can provide (if purchased) for next day onsite service which manufacturers do not provide.

Q.  Are there deductibles and how are they applied?

All FCI Warranty plans for consumer products are 100% covered with parts and labor.
